The Larrivee L-02 Mahogany features the original Larrivee body shape created over four decades ago. The gentle sloping shoulders and lower bout produce a powerful yet well balanced sound. This guitar has a Canadian Sitka spruce top for an articulate and brilliant top end with excellent projection. It is finished in clear satin to let this beautiful wood breathe and produce an outstandingly open tone. The back and sides are solid mahogany, and left in a lovely golden hue. The combination of Sitka spruce and mahogany produces a full-bodied voice, with deep and punchy lows and bell-like highs. The top and body are bound in Canadian maple for a true custom-shop appearance. The one-piece mahogany neck is amazingly comfortable and instantly familiar. It has a hand-fit dovetail joint for stellar resonance transfer. The African ebony fretboard feels heavenly, and its dark beauty is matched in the ebony bridge. Completing this wonderful guitar is the beveled tortoise shell pickguard and rounded headstock, adding to the timeless look of this instrument. A seriously great guitar for any and all music styles.
