Overview
Martin introduced the E series in the late-'70s as an attempt to break into the solidbody electric market. Less than 1500 of these guitars were produced before production ended in 1983. The EM-18 (the most common model in the line) featured two exposed humbuckers, an offset body, and a funky scroll-like headstock shape.
