About This Listing

For sale is a 1930s-era Kalamazoo KM-11 Flat Top Mandolin in good playing condition. These were some of the most-affordable mandolins that Gibson ever put into production during the depression era. Simple yet elegant construction of all solid woods with basic aesthetic appointments. This particular instrument is in good standing for its age with a straight neck, working tuners - a top that hasn't misshapen beyond serviceability. Otherwise, there is a uniform patina in the finish and some worn spots on the neck (see photos). Almost not fret wear to speak of. Included is a basic hardshell case that is an excellent fit.

-Solid spruce top
-Solid mahogany back, sides, and neck
-Rosewood bridge and fretboard
-Ebony tuner buttons
-Pearloid fret markers
-Plastic binding
-The action measures Bass side 3/64", Treble side 2/64" at the 12th fret. The top is slightly sunken (see photos) but appears to be stable with neck angle/neck shape in good standing.
