About This Listing

Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting...

A beautiful , Mint Condition, 2008 Gibson Alpine White Flying V Factor X Electric Guitar!!. This guitar is all original including the Shown Gibson Branded Strap and Deluxe Hard Shell Case…oh, and it plays and sounds great!

Be sure to check out the cool video demo we produced for this cool Flying V!

Gibson made this model starting in 2003 and thru 2008. This makes it one of the last before they changed them. The Made in USA and serial number is hard to see, but in the correct light you can see both. The serial number dates it to 2008. The color is Alpine White that has been faded to Golden Yellow from the years of exposure. This guitar is of course, finished in that shade. However, it does have some white showning in a few areas that looks really cool. See pic 8. White will continue to come through over the years of player wear. Very cool finish.

The guitar is in great playing condition and free from any dings or scratches. The neck is nice and straight and it plays great with awesome low action. Its set up with a new set of 9 gauge strings for great bending. Its a blast to play! The guitar has a 24 3/4 inch scale neck and the nut measures a full 1 3/4 inches. A nice full neck for you big handed guys. Nice round C profile that feels great in the hand!

Heres's some info on these cool guitars...

Overview

The Factor X rebrand on Gibson's Designer Series in 2003 took the Flying V along with it, and while the model officially dropped the '67 designation, it remained largely built on the 1967 Flying V framework. The V would again rebrand in 2009 to just the Flying V. The Flying V Faded was also available at this time as a more affordable alternative to the gloss, nitro finished Factor X.
