1970 FRAMUS 5/350 Telecaster guitar Made in Germany w/ Cream Nitrocellulose lacquer finish, two original BILL LAWRENCE P90-ish single coil pickups, Muller bridge & strange multi-ply Rosewood neck. FRAMUS had an interesting take on popular American guitars & completely originals as well as being the European importer for RICKENBACKER. LEGENDARY BILL LAWRENCE designed pickups for Framus and these pickups sound delightfully excellent with a fat round tone lacking the typical Tele harshness.

This particular example has an excellent setup with medium low action and no buzzes or bad frets. The neck is slim but not too skinny with a 1 9/16 nut width. The frets show very little wear.

The pots, switch and wiring is original. The only alteration of the guitar is the jack which was moved from the control plate to the side of the guitar. The hole for the jack on the plate is filled currently with a chrome dummy plug. We were thinking of adding a switch for some fun electronics mods, but decided to keep the wiring original.

The body is in good shape with some dings and scratches here and there. The biggest ding is on the upper bout on the side near the strap pin. There are very few finish cracks, and most of them are along the sides. The original Waverly tuning machines work fine.

It is missing the bridge cover. When we got the guitar, the original Muller Bridge was missing a saddle. We searched the world and found the exact matching Muller Bridge saddle from the '70s. The saddle we found was gold, so it doesn't match cosmetically, but it is a perfect fit and works very well. The bridge intonation has been set and the guitar is completely functional and ready for stage use.

This is a lightweight and very fun to play take on a traditional telecaster. One of the most professional Framus guitars we have seen.

Ships with the original hard case which is very heavy and somewhat impractical.
