Selling my Octolindo F Deluxe, for which Kilin Reece (the builder) made a custom ebony pickguard. I hate to sell this, but I had an opportunity to buy an octave mandolin from one of my favorite artists, so this one must go. It has a lovely shimmery growl that I think really shines when played slowly, but it plays slick enough for faster tunes too.
Has a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and lovely flamed maple binding. No pickup is installed; I used an Audio-Technica ATM350 clipped to the pickguard (see my other listings...) to amplify it. Has an endpin and front strap button installed. Shows only the faintest beginning of fret wear (pictured). Finish is in excellent shape as pictured, with no headstock dings or buckle rash, just a little bit of dust.
Comes with its original Golden Gate tenor guitar case, which fits well and is also in excellent condition. I will also include a bunch of lightly-used string sets, which I assembled from single strings to try different alloys/gauges.
